LuckyboySunday Nulle

Nulle is Pale and Fancy Nulle’s baby brother only instead of being a knitted doll he is a knitted cushion. The Nulles are by Luckyboysunday and they are rabbits. I am only telling you this because everybody asks. ‘What is this creature exactly?’ They say, pointing at baby Nulle’s cushiony, slightly rabbity face. Personally I think the ears are a dead give away but then again this is a rabbit wearing a bunny hat, so what do I know? Well, funny you should ask. I know that Baby Nulle and his brothers are just about the cutest animals to never draw breath, that they are handmade in Bolivia from the softest alpaca by talented women working under the fair trade principles and that Luckyboysunday have somehow found a way to knit love and longing into a cushion or soft toy and that sometimes it isn’t weird to have a best friend who is made of wool. Phew.

LuckyboySunday are Camilla Koerschen and Camilla Ebdrup, two highly creative textile designers with backgrounds in fashion and art, who founded their studio in 2007. As individuals they are in no way typical and were determined for their idiosyncrasy to find its way into their products. Koerschen was born on a rainy monday in 1977, it has rained on every one of her birthdays since, Ebdrup was born on a cloudy saturday also in 1977, it has been cloudy on every one of her birthdays. Koerschen was a child folk dancer and loved making pink marzipan roses, Ebdrup was a girl scout who liked whittling little men out of wood with her penknife. Korerschen lost a lot of pets and buried them with full ceremony, Ebdrup loved to scare her baby brother by pretending to be a ghost. The Camillas try to capture the poetry of the unsaid, they feel the unspoken is the path to creativity, they set out to design the best brand they could think of, those thoughts have taken root and Lucky boy Sunday has grown.
