Moooi Rabbit Lamp

It does not matter how hard I try to wax lyrical about the Rabbit Lamp by Moooi, I always find myself coming back to the fact that it is a rabbit with a lampshade on its head. I could tell you that is a lyrical 3d poem or a touch of nature in a fairytale style or that is a rejection of abstraction in that it draws inspiration from a living creature in order to elicit a strong emotional response. Or I could just tell you that it is a rabbit with a lampshade on its head. Somehow that feels like enough, I mean who wouldn’t want one? It’s a bunny, with a lampshade for a hat. Oh come on, let’s not search for deeper meaning otherwise I will have to explain why Front, the designers, also make a full size horse, with a lampshade on its head and a pig with a tray on its back. Sometimes I think it is wise not to look for an explanation into something that is completely bonkers, especially when it is also completely brilliant. The Rabbit Lamp then, just because it is.
