Moooi Construction Lamp - Table

Moooi are a company who never let go of a good idea. A lamp made from what appears to be a child's construction set might have looked easy on paper but the reality has proven considerably harder. To pull it off the finished product had to be extraordinary, still with its recognisable, playful roots intact but also with a unique and sophisticated sensibility. Moooi are nothing if not determined because the Construction light is all these things. With exaggerated joints and bracings, large highly visible fixings and a wide drum shade the light looks completely fabulous. Available in three sizes and in two colours the Construction Lamp variations appear remarkably different. The Black is all black, fittings, braces and shade the only contrast being the brass of the screws and the gold lining of the shade. The White has white uprights and joints and a white shade but with light timber bracings and a gold shade lining. For a children’s toy it is surprisingly grown up.
