Flos Archimoon K

Another fantastic, stylish light from Philippe Starck from the Ktribe range. The Archimoon is the only pure desk lamp in the series and like all of the lights with the K designation has two separate diffusers, one inside the other. The Archimoon is clever mechanically in that its head is connected to its articulated body via springs and rods and always remains horizontal no matter what position the body is in. The inner pressed glass diffuser is attached to the body with an internal thread and the outer shade is integral to it. The outer shade is either hard, vacuum silvered polycarbonate or soft pleated ivory fabric and is designed to not only provide direct task light but also to provide softly diffused light. The Archimoon has a distinctive on/off switch stem in the front of its lead weighted cone shaped base.
