The Dalu table lamp was a simple experiment in light by Vico Magistretti with the the new material of the day, thermoplastic. The result was a reimagining of the table lamp that captured the space age sensibility of the sixties. Anything was now possible and it seemed plastic was the right stuff to do it. Reinvented and liberated from its lowly status by a whole new breed of daring designers plastic was everywhere in everything, from chairs to clothes to Dalu table lights. Now reissued by Artemide the Dalu is once again available in its original opaque black and white and in transparent orange and red.
