Stella Baggott is an artist and ceramicist who lives and works in Brighton on the South Coast of England. After many years as a full time illustrator Stella's pot making hobby began to take on a life of its own and she had to give it more of her attention in order to keep up. With the growing popularity of her work Stella founded her ceramics studio Atelier Stella in 2012, specialising in slab and pinch techniques, creating quirky, unique pots with individual personalities. Her work is influenced by the Swedish, Italian and Cornish pottery movements of the 1950's and 60's. Stella creates lovely stoneware ceramics with a distinct sense of character, each with unique impressed decorations and glazes.
Balancing the functional with the decorative, her pots and vases can be used to display flowers, herbs or succulents, or as containers for pencils, pens or kitchen utensils. Each piece is made by hand, one at a time, so no two are exactly alike. The designs are always changing so if you see one that takes your fancy you best buy it quick before it wanders off. Stella makes happy pots make happy people.
